ABOUT

Simon is a Berlin based photographer.
He specialises in portraiture and storytelling-driven projects.
Taking a sensitive approach, he creates powerful, intimate portraits and reportage for magazines, newspapers, and commercial clients.

In addition to still photography, he creates moving portraits and short documentaries.

He graduated from the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Dortmund and also studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts (KASK) in Ghent and the Danish School of Media and Journalism (DMJX) in Aarhus.

In his personal work, he explores themes such as identity, youth, love and social dynamics, always seeking the right visual language for each story.

In 2024, he became the first photographer-in-residence at ZEIT ONLINE, responsible for developing visual essays and experimenting with new forms of visual journalism.

He is a member of Freelens, VG Bild-Kunst and Fotobus Society e.V.
