ABOUT
Simon is a photographer who is based in Berlin.
He mainly focuses on portraiture and storytelling driven projects.
With a sensitive approach, he creates intimate portraits and reportage for magazines, newspapers and commercial clients. As well as still photography, he produces moving portraits and short documentaries.
As well as graduating from the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Dortmund, he studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts (KASK) in Gent and the Danish School of Media and Journalism (DMJX) in Aarhus.
He explores themes like identity, youth, love, and social dynamics in his personal work, always seeking the right visual language for each story.
In 2024, he became the first photographer-in-residence at ZEIT ONLINE, with responsibility for the development of visual essays and experimentation with new forms of visual journalism. He is a member of Freelens, VG Bild-Kunst and Fotobus Society e.V.
